In the world we live in today there are a number of cultural hot-button issues that have taken over the news and social media platforms. Often Christians are left wondering, "how should I be thinking about that particular issue, what does the bible have to say, and what does it mean for how I live and engage with those around me? In this course, we'll look at what the Bible says about what social justice is, and we'll then attempt to use biblically minded discernment and theologically guided wisdom to apply those insights to a variety of controversial contemporary topics. With full recognition that faithful Christians sometimes disagree on these matters, we will attempt to understand the reasons for those disagreements and treat other perspectives fairly and charitably, while also seeking to be as faithful as we can to the message that God has given in the scriptures.
